Badlands elijah

Badlands written and directed by Terrance Malick was an American crime movie that was about a man and younger woman (Martin Sheen and Sissy Spacek). The two met each other after Sissy and her father move to kits hometown, her father does not agree with their relationship due to from where kit (Martin sheen) is from and the age difference between the two, sissy being only 15 years old. Furious and on an impulse, Kit, shoots her father dead and they stage their death. Their plan does not work and they soon have a bounty on their head. Kit goes on a killing spree to keep the love of his life with him (sissy following behind him the entire time). This story is something of a Romeo and Juliet with a little "psycho killer" pushed into it. Yes the couple does love each other for some part of the movie but the extremes Kit did to be with sissy showed how crazy he was. eventually towards the end of the movie even Sissy realizes this and sort of rejects Kit saying she wants to just give up and go home. Kit eventually turns himself in and he is apprehended. I personally enjoyed this movie more than the previous film of "Bonnie and Clyde" this film had me more interested and introduced a true psychopath character (Kit). Towards the end when they are sending Kit on the plan you see how much of a character he truly is. He's talking to the police officers and handing them trinkets and other items as if he didn't spend the last couple days trying to kill them so he can be with Sissy, this movie was nonetheless a very great movie, it definetly has to be one of Terrance Malick 's top films he ever created
