Bonnie and Clyde

"They're young... they're in love... and they kill people."

Bonnie and Clyde is an American classic crime story. It tells the tale of the two bank robbers from the first time they meet until their unfortunate ending. In this movie the main relationship is between Bonnie and Clyde instead of having a subplot about the law enforcement officials the main focus of the film is on Bonnie and Clyde's relationship [redundant]. Bonnie Parker was an ex-waitress, played by Faye Dunaway. She falls in love with Clyde Barrow, played by Warren Beatty. We watch as they tour the country, picking up the young gas station attendant auto-mechanic C.W. Moss (Michael J Pollard) , Clyde's brother Buck (Gene Hackman) and his wife Blanche (Oscar winning-actress Estelle Parsons). Along the way, they rob and occasionally kill when necessary. The film makes the audience sympathize for [with] Bonnie and Clyde. We see how their relationship develops, and it makes us mourn for them at the end when they are ambushed by the police and shot to death.

There's a good supporting cast as well with Gene Hackman, Michael J. Pollard, and Estelle Parsons rounding out the Barrow Gang [Okay, I jumped the gun by inserting this information/these facts into your opening paragraph]. The movie may be most notable for its depiction of violence [YES!]. At the time, it was more than just groundbreaking; it was shocking. Now, we're used to being shown violence in over the top kind of ways and that makes watching this even more believable. The violence is depicted in a realistic way, making the movie more authentic because of it. Needless to say, this is an absolute must watch. Watching Dunaway and Beatty as Bonnie and Clyde is fun, emotional, and a cinematic pleasure. I highly recommend you watch this when you have the time.
