This movie was very interesting. Growing up, I'd heard a lot about Bonnie and Clyde but I never knew who they were. Thanks to this class, I now know. Though I'm not a fan of old films, I did enjoy this one. It was an action, adventure, comedy movie. The infamous couple, Bonnie and Clyde, made it a goal of theirs to stir up as much trouble as possible. From robbing banks to shoot outs with cops, they pair created a lot of issues in the towns they were driving through.
They weren't alone, though, which was a shock to me. They had three other people with them, one of them being Clyde's brother and his wife, and a naive boy they'd met at the auto shop. Though Bonnie and Clyde were the two main protagonists, the other characters had key roles as well. It was fun to analyze the film and see how, because of the year they were doing these crimes in, they managed to succeed. If they were to have done such crimes in modern day, they'd have been caught almost immediately because cars are faster, technology is more updated, and banks are a lot more protected.
The characters were all interesting, too. Bonnie and Clyde's fast paced romance contradicted on the popular belief that old time relationships took everything slow. The mechanic was naive but extremely loyal and stayed at Bonnie and Clyde's side throughout the majority of the movie. Clyde's brother was happy at the experience he was gaining during his time on the run. He made it like a family event and seemed to enjoy spending time with his brother and friends.
I was not present for the entire film but from what I did get a chance to see, I think it's safe to say that the film was good.
