In this thriller, Rocky depicts exactly what it's like to go through hardships in order to make a name for yourself in this world. Take Rocky Balboa for example, all he knows to do in his life is box, but he isn't able to breakthrough his amateur status as a boxer, therefore, apart from his small community, he isn't quite known, yet. He isn't able to make much as an amateur boxer, so between fights he works for a loan shark named Tony. Even though Tony has him do cruel things to people, Rocky is too kindhearted to be able to carry them out, something Tony hates about him. As Rocky continues to work hard for his dreams, on the other side of the spectrum is Apollo Creed, world champion boxer. Even the two boxers live totally different lives, Creed wants to change that, he wants to give a small time boxer a run for his money, and on his search for an amateur boxer, he comes across Rocky. When everything is in motion, with Rocky agreeing to fight Creed for the title, is when things begin to unfold. Rocky already knows he isn't able to defeat Creed, but that doesn't stop him from training and becoming a better boxer each coming day. He knows that the win isn't the most important thing, it's the determination,the hard work, every second spent improving himself, because without all this, he will still be the old Rocky, and with a little jump start, which would be Creed, he was finally able to make a name for himself.
