MALCOLMX DEANA TAVARES

Malcolm X directed by Spike Lee is an AMAZING film. Just the whole experience he had was amazing and saddening all in one. You get to watch him go through basically the biggest and craziest experiences of his life. For example when he came to Islam, when he was incarcerated, even when he was shot and killed during one of his preaches. I've watched bits and pieces of this movie before but I never got to actually sit down and watch the whole movie and really enjoy it so it was great to have the oppurtunity to do it now.  It's crazy because I know that Malcolm X hasn't always been seen as one of the most peaceful civil rights leader and it's shocking to see how peaceful he actually was in this movie.  I mean yes he did try to play Russian roulette at a table so he could be in charge but his craziness really showed how dedicated he was to being a proud African America and how determined he was to get equality during the time period he lived in. And on top of that he was adorable :)))) haha. The movie altogether was just fascinating and makes me wish he was still alive I would have loved to get the oppurtunity to meet him and interview him he seemed like such a deep and intelligent guy.
