Bonnie & Clyde- Kevin Zayas

I saw the 2013 Bonnie and Clyde, and everyone was saying that the older one was better. To my surprise, they were right. I like this Bonnie and Clyde, director Arthur Penn's 1967 feature film, better because  it showed more of the story.

The 2013 version just showed Bonnie and Clyde. This one showed the whole crew, how the couple recruited a mechanic CW Moss, as well as Clyde's brother Buck and his mad annoying wife Blanche (Academy Award-winner Estelle Parsons). This one also had more action, showed how reckless and how badass they were. It showed how Bonnie and Clyde progress through their robberies and other crimes [explain; how did they progress? How did Clyde's graduation from corner stores to banks go? What inspired him to make the leap? How were banks perceived at the time? Is this similar or different from today?].

It showed how Bonnie was really loyal to Clyde and how Clyde really protected her. For example, the scene where they found police officer creeping on them when they parked next to the lake. The police officer [Texas Ranger Frank Hamer] spit on Bonnie, Clyde got really angry and wrestled the officer into the little boat on the lake. That's a part I wouldn't forget. [What are the long term affects of the gang's treatment of Hamer? How does Hamer re-enter the story? What do you make of CW's father? Ultimately, does the film present Bonnie and Clyde as heroes or villains? How does this compare to the History Channel produced 2013 min-series? Tell me more!]
