Bonnie and Clyde is a remake of a real life event and not only was it very accurate, it was very amazing too. I thought almost every aspect of the movie was awesome; the action scenes, the unorthodox love story, the film progression, the astonishing ending scene with the death of Bonnie and Clyde (SPOILER ALERT!) and even the fact that it was a different look on "protagonist" characters,. When I say unorthodox love story, i say that because usually in movie the characters lock eyes, and fall in love and start dating etc. but in this case that didn't happen. These two met while Clyde was trying to steal Bonnie's mother's car. from there on, with in a couple of hours they were on the road and had up and left there lives behind to go rob banks together. I though the movie progressed well and just when you think it's about to be done something else was thrown in the way. For instance, just as they were getting comfortable with the brother and his wife the police find them in the cabins and have a shoot out. Just as they get away from that the brother get severely injured and the media starts to say that the "rough and tough" Clyde isn't strong enough to protect his brother, which really hurts Clyde badly. Lastly, I believed that the twist on a protagonist was wonderful and a great change of pace from the average movie, in most movie the protagonist is a good guy that saves the day, but in this movie its strong willed bank robber that is just trying to make a living with the woman he evens up falling in love with.
The characters even though they based it on a true story I though each character that was in the group of bank robbers gave the movie an extra taste of how amazing it was. Obviously, I enjoyed Bonnie and Clyde's performances in the movie the most because of the connection they had and how amazing they worked together and brought of different qualities in the others. I though the brother in law bring a sense of family and loyalty to the film. The mechanic also, showed loyalty yet some innocents, because even though he had just met them he left with them and also let them stay in his home. Lastly the only character I despised was the brother's wife. I thought that she was very whinny and unappealing to the theme of the movie. But all and all the character choice and acting fit together greatly with one another.
Bonnie and Clyde was was a great film that I'd recommend to anyone that enjoys a change of pace or a bit of action. Also, this movie was very advanced and was able to stand well on its own for the time period, so with that said this movie is definitely a film I'd watch again or suggest to my friends.
