Bonnie and Clyde:
Director Arthur Penn. Feat. Faye Dunaway (Bonnie Parker), Warren Beatty (Clyde Barrow), Academy Award Winner Estelle Parsons (Blanche Barrows), Gene Hackman ( Buck Barrow), Michael J. Pollard (CW Moss), and Gene Wilder as Eugene. 1967.
This film was directed by Arthur Penn, written by David Newman, Robert Benton; starring Warren Beatty, Faye Dunaway, and Michael J. Pollard. A well known film based around a romantic involved couple as well as criminally involved partners who would rob together and go on adventures together. It's 1934 and Clyde finds his way to Bonnie who a waitress at the time. Clyde was attracted to her emotionally and they really connected. But when Bonnie tried to make things physical he would steer her away because he wasn't really comfortable with it just yet.
They teamed up with what I think is Clyde's brother and his wife. Bonnie would get into altercations with her because she was really loud and yelled a lot. She was also new to the robbing thing and she really didn't know what to do she was mostly a distraction for them. They went on adventures when they were almost caught. Nobody knew where they might end up showing and they were also confused at the time. They were wanted almost everywhere.
Then the brother and the wife got caught and the brother got shot at and so did the wife. He died and she got shot in the eye and they took her to jail.
Bonnie and Clyde on the other hand tried so hard not to get caught but then they ended up getting shot at as well in the car by someone they knew very well and at the time living with him. So they thought that he could be trusted but he set them up so that they wouldn't leave from that spot. They were shot at multiple times and died on the spot.
A gangster/romance/ comedy all in the movie will appeal to most especially because this happened in real life. This wasn't just a made up story to catch a viewers attention but it was indeed a movie where a real life couple actually committed these crimes and were inseparable. And who were down to do anything together even if it meant death.
In my opinion this movie is very relatable to viewers because we all want that one person that we're in a relationship to be our lover, our partner in crime, and our best friend all in one. Someone who can be with you all the time and support you in every decision you make. But it can be hard sometimes and you don't want to do something that you will regret for the rest of your life. Then you are going to ask yourself if this is really what you wanted? You can get into a lot of trouble for it and it's going to be hard to overcome.
I didn't enjoy this movie as much as I thought I was. I like action movies but they don't interest me as much as I thought they would maybe it was because it was about a couple doing crime together and I don't really recommend romantic movies for myself. But overall I would say it was good. But I won't see myself watching this movie again. What I found cool is that the actual Bonnie and Clyde car that they were shot in is at a museum somewhere.
