Plot:
Phoenix office worker Marion Crane is fed up with the way life has treated her. She has to meet her lover Sam in lunch breaks and they cannot get married because Sam has to give most of his money away in alimony. One Friday Marion is trusted to bank $40,000 by her employer. Seeing the opportunity to take the money and start a new life, Marion leaves town and heads towards Sam's California store. Tired after the long drive and caught in a storm, she gets off the main highway and pulls into The Bates Motel. The motel is managed by a quiet young man called Norman Bates who seems to be dominated by his mother and he has to listen to everything.
Analysis: I honestly enjoyed the movie. Although in the beginning it seemed very boring. As I payed attention to the movie and began to get more engaged, the story line became better and more interesting to me. I enjoyed the movie because of the suspense in many parts for example when the lady stood at the motel and walked into the guys house and was slowly walking up the stairs not knowing that would be the end of her life. The movie was overall good. Yes it may be a very old movie, it was pretty well made other than the terrible death scenes in the shower and the two stair cases. I would definitely consider watching the next movie in the sequence.
