When We Were Kings is a documentary based on the fight in Zaire between Mahummad Ali and George Foreman, also known as "The Rumble in the Jungle"
I think this was a very well put-together documentary because of all the film from the fight itself and the surrounding weeks. The interviewees were there and they knew what they were talking about and did a fantastic job narrating the whole event as footage played for the viewer to watch. Part of what made this documentary as good as it was would be the fight itself and how great of a moment in boxing history it was; if the event or subject of a documentary isn't that intriguing then chances are few people will be engaged.
As I was watching the documentary it occurred to me that this fight was a lot like Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back when they were in Hoth and the Empire found the rebel base. As the Imperial Walkers proceeded to bombard the base and the rebels attempted to fight it, Luke Skywalker and a few others went in small ships to fight off the Walkers as much as they could. As we all know, Luke Skywalker pulled through and brought down a number the walkers. Luke Skywalker and his smaller ship being Ali and the Imperial Walkers being Foreman, it's quite obvious that despite the immense power the Imperial Walkers had, the smaller and faster ships had that advantage to take them out. Ya dig?
