Sugar

Sugar has definitely been my favorite movie so far, this movie was really interesting to watch. Sugar was a Dominican boy from Dominican Republic, it showed us the struggles that were going on in the movie, the movie showed us how Sugar how to adapt to different family life styles such as how people ran their houses such as religions, he had to get use to new rules, however his family and friends were really supportive of him and his baseball career. When sugar came to the U.S he was staying with a white family who was really religious and they had some house rules. I believe this family had a daughter and Sugar liked her and she had a church group that he started attending. Sugar wasn't doing well at first, they had a new player who was on the team now. He was taking over Sugar's limelight. Sugar became so stressed he started doing what any other athlete was doing which was doing drugs. By then Sugar wasn't really getting calls from his girlfriend and family from back home. He moved to New York he didn't have any money at all and he joined another team but ended up becoming friends name Jorge that he met. I felt like Sugar sort of gave up on his baseball career because, he could've been on a well known baseball team but instead he let people get the best of him and just got up and moved to New York with no money and family.
