What are dreams? Dreams are fantasies that are waiting to become realities. Dreams are what keeps hope alive. But Sugar that is not the case. Growing up in the Dominican Republic, Miguel Santos grow up playing football with the neighborhood kids. With his amazing skill at pitching he went to a training camp to see if major league teams would draft him. With the camp being a rigorous place, many people quit before they actually get drafted. Even though Miguel headed the camp he learned a new pitching technique and he was drafted to the Kansas City Knights (Royals). Thinking that he was going to be the star of the team he was shocked to find out that there were people there that are better than him. With a rookie mentality he believes that he would be the best pitcher in the league, but when he wasn't able to strike anyone out he fell into a dark place. He would enter the field only to lose game after game and to get boo'd on and off the field. This caused him to have more problems. With his rep plummeting fast, he started taking steroids. With nowhere else to run, instead of talking his problems out he ran away from Kansas to New York to live a new live.
